Dredging of the port de Flumet

In 2018 the company Marine Assistance is participating in the experimental shipyard of the Flumet Basin.
EDF wishes to test the concept of passing the fine sediments of the reservoir through one of the generating units of the Cheylas power plant.
The objective is to dilute them before returning them to the isere, a natural sediment receiver, via the Cheylas basin.
During this test dredging, approximately 6,000 m3 will be dredged by the Cyprian suction dredger.
The dredger is located in the reservoir in order to pump the sediments, which will then be fed through a pipe to be turbined in a production unit and discharged at the exit of the power station.
